Your car relies on hydraulic pressure to stop. Modern cars have complex braking systems that have complex, computer sensors to function better than ever. One thing that hasn't changed is the basic function of this system. The master cylinder displaces hydraulic brake fluid under pressure to the rest of the brake system. By forcing fluid to the brake system, calipers grip, pistons function, and shoes are forced to rub against brake drums. Unfortunately, this cannot happen if there is no fluid in the system. This is just another procedure we carry out to keep your car as safe as possible. |
